The Moment I knew I was Destined to be an Entrepreneur.

**The Moment I Knew I Was Destined to Be an Entrepreneur**

Although we were considerably competitive with each other, watching my older brother Scotty,  growing up was nothing short of inspiring. Every Christmas, while other kids were enjoying their break, he was out there hustling, selling poinsettias from my dads greenhouse to every business in town. No sleeping in, no distractions—just pure, unwavering commitment to his goal.

By the time he was 15, his hard work paid off. He saved up enough money to buy his first car, becoming the first kid I’d ever heard of in junior high to drive to school. Seeing him behind the wheel of that jeep, I was struck by more than just his accomplishment—it was the realization that he had achieved success AND freedom. I was amazed at the endless possibilities. He set his sight on a jeep but what if he set it something bigger? My eyes were open and this ignited the possibility that it was a super power! You wanted something, you worked hard and you got it. He didn’t quit, he didn't brag, he didn't complain along the way, he worked hard and moved in silence and his achievement spoke for itself.

For my brother, that jeep symbolized much more than transportation. It was a testament to what dedication, planning, and perseverance could achieve. Watching him, I realized that entrepreneurship was my path to that same freedom—freedom to create, freedom to grow, and freedom to live life on my own terms. I was so proud of him and wanted him to be proud of me one day.

That was the moment I knew I had to be an entrepreneur. It was about more than just financial gain; it was about owning my future and having the liberty to navigate life my way. It took me a few tries and failures before I found out my niche was Investing. (Although I was led to real estate investing my whole life but was not able to realize why for another 20 years, but that’s a different story)

I’m happy to say a few year later Scotty sets his sights on a new truck, which of course he got and when he did he gave me his jeep. To this day it's one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. Every day it inspired and motivated me until after about 300,000 miles then was time to retire her!

**Key Lessons:**

1. **Hard Work and Dedication**: Success isn't just handed to you; it's earned through relentless effort and determination.

2. **Set Clear Goals**: Knowing what you want and creating a plan to achieve it is crucial.

3. **Entrepreneurship as Freedom**: It’s not just about money; it’s about the freedom to live your dream life.

To all aspiring entrepreneurs out there, remember that the journey may be tough, but the freedom and fulfillment it brings make it all worthwhile. Chase your dreams, set your goals, and work tirelessly until you achieve them.
